WHAT WE LOVED
The Fullerton Bay Hotel is another wonderful Virtuoso property. Built from scratch on stilts over the Singapore River, it has 98 rooms and is simply gorgeous. The hotel’s public areas are just stunning with glamorous and exquisite interior design.
Located in the heart of Singapore’s prestigious Central Business District and Arts and Cultural precinct, the Fullerton Bay Hotel is minutes from the Singapore’s iconic cultural landmarks and close to the main shopping precincts of Suntec City and Orchard Road.
The hotel’s rooms enjoy a classical look combined with the latest in-room technology. Deluxe rooms face inwards, so I would only recommend booking the premier rooms and up. The Premier rooms overlook the river. The most popular rooms are the Bay Rooms which enjoy views of Marina Bays Sands.
It has an amazing roof top pool and bar area. This is open to the public. I would highly recommend pre-booking a table if drinks and canapés and its extremely busy. The food and drinks were sensational. The Mojitos are a must.
Marina Bay Sands put on a Light Show at 8.00pm and 9.30pm. The view from the Fullerton Bay Hotel rooftop is amazing.
Raffles Place Mass Rapid Transit (subway) station is a few minutes’ walk away, a bus stop is just at our doorstep and the Singapore Changi International Airport is less than half hour’s drive away.
Rooms
There are five different room categories from Deluxe through to Permier Bay View with Jacuzzi. In addition, there are five Theme Suites named after governors of Singapore and decorated with individual motifs and designs: Robinson, Shenton, Clifford, Anderson and Cavenagh, as well as the Presidential Suite.
Pools
The hotel’s stunning rooftop pool is surrounded by a beautifully manicured and lush tropical landscape.
Spa
The Fullerton Bay Hotel doesn’t have its own spa facility, but guests can use those at its iconic sister property – The Fullerton Hotel.
The Fullerton Bay does have a well-equipped gym, and also features an outdoor deck where you can stretch, perform yoga or pilates and enjoy the views of the city skyline. The gym is open 24 hours
Dining
La Brasserie is waterfront dining at its finest overlooking the sparkling waters of the bay through 10-metre high floor-to-ceiling windows
Lantern: A rooftop bar and pool with views of the Marina Bay waterfront and Singapore skyline serving gourmet snacks, champagnes, signature cocktails, wines and beverages.
The Clifford Pier: The best of Singapore’s delicacies and reinterpretations of Asian specialties and Western classics.
The Landing Point: Located alongside a grand indoor promenade, The Landing Point’s 13-metre long bar is the place to see and be seen, serving chic comfort food and classic dishes. Enjoy organic salads, sandwiches and local Asian favourites, or take the renowned daily Afternoon Tea.
The Lookout at Customs House: Located in a 23-metre high Lookout tower at Customs House, The Lookout at Customs House is a tiny but unique dining space with a maximum capacity of 4 people seated or 6 standing.
