The hotel enjoys a central location in the city’s Jordaan district, just steps from Amsterdam’s top attractions including Dam Square and the Rijksmuseum.
Rooms
Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a range of room types from Deluxe rooms, REN Rooms (with free minibar), Family rooms, as well as Club Rooms, Superior Rooms, Executive Suites and the Presidential Suite which enjoy access to the hotel’s Club Lounge.
Pools
Being a predominantly ‘business’ hotel, there is no pool on the property.
Spa
There is a fully equipped on-site gym with cardiovascular equipment, and free weights, but no spa.
Dining
The hotel’s signature diner, Scossa, is open for breakfast and dinner, and serves Italian cuisine with nods to wider Mediterranean traditions.
Serving drinks and food all day, the street-side Koepelcafé bar is reminiscent of an authentic downtown Amsterdam café.
Cocktails and cool vibes are available at 2B Lounge & Bar.
Recommended experiences
For a real taste of Belgian cuisine, visit Chez Georges less than a kilometre from the hotel.

Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel enjoys an excellent location and offers a comfortable environment from which to explore the very best of Amsterdam. Will suit those in town for a short stay and not expecting the elevated service levels you might experience in a leisure hotel or resort.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Marriott Hotel is surrounded by the city’s iconic canals and is just a 5 minute walk from the Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh Museum.
Modern and sophisticated, and overlooking the Leidsesquare, the hotel is ideally located for exploring the local dining & entertainment scene.
Rooms
The 396 newly refurbished bedrooms and suites are both family and dog friendly!
The hotel offers a range of accommodation from Deluxe Rooms, Superior NEW Style rooms, Family rooms, Executive Rooms, Corner Executive Rooms, Junior Suite NEW Styles, Executive Suite and the Presidential Suite.
Pools
There is no pool on the property.
Spa
The hotel doesn’t have a spa facility but does have a 24-hour Fitness centre with cardiovascular equipment, free-weights and a sauna.
Dining
Steakhouse Midtown Grill offers steaks, fine chops & fresh seafood with hearty side dishes, soups, and salads.
Sorel’s bar is a great spot to sample cocktails and whiskeys.

The hotel offers a handy bike rental service which is just the best way to get out and explore the best of Amsterdam on your doorstep here.
Final word
Located in the theatre district it had oodles of atmosphere and the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic.
And being not far from the Heineken Brewery is an added bonus.
